All 2015 Corolla sedans come standard with front-wheel-drive, a fuel-friendly four-cylinder engine, and a choice of three transmissions based on the trim you choose. The 2015 Toyota Corolla L is considered the base version and comes standard with 15-inch wheels with sport wheel covers, LED headlamps, power windows and locks, cloth seating, split/folding rear seat, Bluetooth and a four-speaker CD audio system with USB/iPod/aux inputs. The 2015 Toyota Corolla LE upgrades to 16-inch wheels and six-speaker 6-inch touchscreen display CD audio system and adds heated mirrors, automatic climate control, rear vision camera, Bluetooth audio connectivity, voice control and the ability to download your phonebook. Choose the LE Plus and you get 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, and piano black interior trim. The LE Plus is also eligible for the Driver Convenience package that adds push button start, optional sunroof, satellite audio capability, HD radio, navigation, and Toyota’s Entune App suite mobile app integration. The LE Premium adds a power driver seat, premium vinyl seating, and heated front seating. The 2015 Toyota Corolla LE Eco starts with the LE but is tweaked and tuned to boost fuel economy with a tuned engine and transmission with Eco mode, low-rolling-resistance tires, rear spoiler, and other aerodynamic upgrades. Step up to the LE Eco Plus and get 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, chrome exterior accents, all the features of the LE Plus as well as the optional convenience package. The LE Eco Premium has the addition of a power driver seat, premium vinyl seats and heated front bucket seats. The sportiest of the family is the 2015 Toyota Corolla S. It has all the standard features of the LE and adds unique wheel covers, chrome trimmed grille, fog lamps, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tip, sport seats, paddle shifters and a Sport driving mode. The S Plus has 17-inch sport alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, rear disc brakes and is available with the optional Driver Convenience package. The S Premium adds a power driver seat, heated front sport seats, and premium vinyl upholstery. What makes the 2015 Toyota Corolla go? Under the hood of all versions of the 2015 Toyota Corolla except the LE Eco is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 132 horsepower and 128 lb.-ft. of torque. The LE Eco has the same 1.8-liter four-cylinder, but it is tuned improve fuel-efficiency and produces 140 horsepower and 126 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with the four-cylinder for the Corolla L is a six-speed manual transmission standard but a four-cylinder automatic is optional. All other versions of the 2015 Corolla have a fuel-saving two-speed CVT with overdrive. The S can be ordered with the six-speed manual as an option. Fuel economy for the 2015 Toyota Corolla varies based on version, but is impressive across the board. The four-speed-automatic combination offers an EPA estimated 27 mpg city/36 highway and 28/37 with the six-speed manual transmission option. The CVT offers 28/39 in the LE and 29/37 in the S while the LE Eco leads the pack with 30/42 for the standard trim and 30/40 for the upgraded Plus and Premium. The 2015 Toyota Corolla ranks high in safety as well with ABS, stability and traction control, multiple front side and side curtain airbags plus a driver knee and passenger seat cushion airbag. All Corolla versions except the L also come standard with a rear vision camera. The S Plus and S Premium also have rear disc brakes while all other trims feature rear drums. Toyota brought big news to the New York International Auto Show with the unveiling of the 2015 Camry. Although the new model is just a refresh for the current generation Camry, the model introduces some significant redesigning for the car that’s earned the recognition as the best-selling car in the United States for 12 straight years. Group Vice President and Toyota Division General Manager, Bill Fay said that the 2015 Camry incorporates nearly 2,000 new parts and 90 percent new sheet metal. In fact, the new model boasts a complete exterior redesign with the exception of the roof. The 2015 Camry will even add a new XSE trim level that will sit between the existing SE and XLE models. The new XSE will be the sportiest Camry with 18-inch wheels, firmer shocks, springs and bushings, and unique steering tuning. “Customers today love the durability, quality and value that the Camry represents, but they are looking for a little more style, comfort and performance, and this 2015 Camry has all of the above,” said Bob Carter, senior vice president of automotive operations of Toyota Motor Sales USA. Contact Us Clay Disc & Essential Oil Air Fresheners One of the easiest ways to make a DIY air freshener involves the use of clay discs and essential oils. These can be found online or at craft stores near Lehi and Draper. Once you have both, you’re ready to get started! Directions: Rub a generous amount of essential oils onto the clay disc. Let the oils soak for a while, then place the disc in your car. Car Air Fresheners with Felt and Herbs If you really want to make a car air freshener from scratch, it’s time to gather up your favorite herbs. Making a small felt pouch to hold the scented products only takes a few minutes. Here’s what you’ll need to get started: Felt in any color you like String Your favorite herbs Scissors Hole punch Thread and needle Directions: Cut out two pieces of felt, making sure they’re of identical size. Create a packet for the herbs by sewing the pieces together. With the baggie formed, load up the herbs into the cavity. Use the hole punch to create a hole in the top of the baggie. Thread the string through the hole, create a loop, and knot it. Hang up your new DIY air freshener on or above the car vent. Mason Jar Air Fresheners If you’d like a long-term solution that’s easy to hide away, use a mason jar air freshener. You’ll need each of the following to finish this job: Baking soda Your favorite essential oils Small mason jar Cardboard Nail Directions: Use the mason jar lid to trace a circle on the cardboard. Cut out the circle, and use the nail to poke several small holes in the cardboard. Fill up half of the mason jar with baking soda. Drop your favorite essential oils into the jar. Replace the metal circle, separating the screw-on lid from the jar, with the cardboard circle that you’ve cut out. Then screw the top back on. You’re all set to go with your new mason jar car air freshener!
